System Requirements
Smatter.tv digital signs are broadcast through the internet to flat panel screens located in your business.
While each implementation will vary, the hardware requirements are similar: flat panel screen, secure internet connection and a computer.
Whether you decide to do-it-yourself or hire
professional services, please keep the following requirements in mind.
Regional Requirements
- At this point in time, Smatter.tv is only available to users in the United States.
Screen Requirements
- 1024 x 768 Resolution or better
- DVI or VGA Input*
Minimum Computer Requirements
- Windows XP
- 500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
- 512MB RAM
- Internet Explorer 6.0 with media plug-ins (Flash, QuickTime, etc.)
Internet Requirements
- Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1 or better)

- Live Feeds, RSS, database
- Breaking News
- Announcements
- Photography
- Flash

- Any internet content
Technical Notes
- *Your screens must be able to connect to a computer. It must have inputs that are compatible with your computer's monitor output (DVI to DVI or VGA to VGA).
- Your computer must be located within 50 feet of your screen because that is the maximum distance the signal can travel travel before quality suffers.
- If you'll be showing video or rich media, the faster the internet connection, the better.
